International Scholar Enrollment Mandates

Toronto High School prides itself on being a diverse, multicultural institution that warmly welcomes students from all corners of the globe to study in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The application process for international scholars is uniquely tailored to facilitate compliance with Canadian immigration law and to ensure a successful academic placement. The core requirement for all international applicants is the demonstration of academic readiness and the completion of necessary immigration documentation.

The fundamental requirements for all prospective international students are:

  1. Passport Copy: A clear copy of the biographical pages of your passport, specifically showing your picture and date of birth, is a mandatory prerequisite for the school to issue the official Letter of Acceptance (LOA).
  2. Academic Transcript: An official copy of your most recent high school records or transcript is required. This document is essential for our Guidance team to properly evaluate your previous studies, determine equivalent credits, and develop an appropriate, OSSD-compliant academic pathway.
  3. Language Proficiency: While we offer comprehensive ESL programs, demonstration of English language proficiency may be required for direct placement into certain academic courses. We also offer an accredited IELTS preparation course and are an accredited IELTS test center.
  4. Student Visa/Study Permit: All international students planning to undertake academic studies for a duration of six (6) months or longer in Canada are legally mandated to obtain a valid Canadian Study Permit (Student Visa). The school provides all necessary admission documents to support the application for this permit.

International scholars are encouraged to review the specific fee schedule for non-domestic students and the various support services available, such as homestay, custodian, and medical insurance, all of which are designed to support a seamless integration into life and study in Canada.
