On-Site Academic Immersion and Instructional Excellence
Toronto High School offers an exceptional, accredited in-class educational experience for students who thrive in a traditional, face-to-face academic setting. This instructional modality is highly recommended as the most common and often the most affordable way for students to earn their secondary school credits. While our accredited online platform offers unparalleled flexibility, students who opt for the immersive, in-class environment benefit from direct, daily interaction with our certified faculty and a structured, immediate peer learning environment.
In-class instruction for our programs is primarily held at our designated academic location: 7191 Yonge Street, units 212, 213 & 214 in Markham, Ontario (situated approximately one block north of Steeles on Yonge Street). All in-class, day-time instruction for local students operates on a structured schedule from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. This disciplined environment is highly conducive to rigorous academic pursuit, encouraging immediate feedback and dynamic discussion.
In addition to the standard group classes, the in-class program offers several specialized formats to cater to diverse learning requirements:
- Private One-on-One Instruction: A tailored curriculum suitable for students requiring special assistance or those seeking to fast-track a credit course on a non-fixed schedule. The course length is controlled by the student while adhering to the Ministry of Education’s required 110 hours of instruction.
- Semi-Private Lessons (Two Students): A personalized learning experience that is more cost-effective than private instruction while still ensuring concentrated faculty attention.
- Group Lessons (Three or More Students): The most cost-effective and common modality for a rich, collaborative learning environment.
Students in the in-class program are pursuing the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) through a variety of high school courses, including subjects in Mathematics, Science, English, Humanities, and the Arts. This comprehensive in-class structure ensures that every student is well-prepared for the rigours of post-secondary academics.
