Domestic Student Enrollment and Academic Planning Protocol

The enrollment process for local students at Toronto High School is systematically structured across several key phases, ensuring a personalized and academically appropriate matriculation. The process begins with the required digital submission and transitions through academic advising to final course enrollment.

Phase I: Application Submission and Documentation

The prospective local student initiates the process by completing the mandatory online registration form. Concurrently, the student must submit their essential documents, including the photo ID and the most recent academic transcript (OST). This initial documentation is the basis for all subsequent academic planning and is reviewed for authenticity and compliance with Ministry of Education standards.

Phase II: Academic Counselling and Course Planning

Upon receipt of the academic transcript, the student is scheduled for an individualized academic counselling session with a designated Guidance Counselor. During this critical meeting, the student’s academic history, career aspirations, and current credit accumulation are assessed. A Customized Education Plan is formulated, clearly outlining the specific courses required to complete the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) and meet the prerequisites for their desired post-secondary programs. Students interested in full-time study are advised on the necessity of enrolling in a minimum of three subjects per semester to maintain their status.

Phase III: Fee Payment and Final Enrollment

Once the Customized Education Plan is agreed upon, the student proceeds to the fee payment stage. Tuition fees vary based on the instructional modality selected (In-Class, Online, Blended, or Full-Time Package). Payment of the required tuition officially secures the student’s place in the selected course(s). Students are also reminded to complete the necessary steps to access their secured student portal, where all course materials, grades, and assignments are managed. This comprehensive, three-phase protocol ensures that every local student is strategically placed for optimal academic success and seamless transition to higher education.
