Accredited Virtual Learning and E-Learning Modalities

Toronto High School is a recognized leader in accredited virtual learning, offering a comprehensive suite of high school credit courses through our sophisticated online platform. This modality, often referred to as e-learning or virtual school, is an invaluable alternative for students who are unable to attend a physical campus due to logistical, medical, or geographical constraints. Our online courses adhere strictly to the Ontario Curriculum requirements, ensuring that the high school credits earned are fully accepted by all Canadian universities and colleges.

The online program delivers a full semester’s worth of instruction over a flexible, asynchronous schedule, allowing students to complete accredited high school credits from the comfort of their home. This flexibility is particularly beneficial for:

  • Geographically Remote Students: Learners residing far from the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Mature Students: Individuals balancing their academic studies with day jobs and other professional commitments.
  • Traveling Students: Pupils who need to maintain their studies while traveling with family.
  • Medically Restricted Students: Students who cannot attend regular school due to medical issues.
  • International Students: Scholars unable to visit Canada immediately due to visa timelines or other travel restrictions.

All online and e-learning courses are subject to rigorous, supervised final examinations to maintain academic integrity. Students residing in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)—including Toronto, North York, Markham, Richmond Hill, and Vaughan—are generally expected to attend one of our physical campuses for these major exams. Conversely, students located outside the GTA must make approved arrangements for a proctor to supervise their final examinations at their own expense. This blended examination policy ensures the validity of the OSSD credential regardless of the student’s primary location.
